So after the team photo was taken, the players went back into the locker room to await the re-flooding of the ice before practice. After an hour or so, the Senators came back onto the ice missing Daniel Alfredsson, Sergei Gonchar & Milan Michalek – BUT were accompanied by an extra player we had not seen with the team in some time.

Yes, folks. Erik Karlsson joined the team for practice this afternoon and looked like a guy who hasn’t missed a single game.  He brought his usual energy, joking with his teammates & celebrating after goals; just a welcome sight for any Senator fan.  Want a taste….here’s a brief example.

Afterwards, Coach MacLean confirmed Craig Anderson as his starting goaltender vs the Leafs Saturday night.

Meanwhile, Eugene held his annual Skate for Kids after practice and met the media to discuss Karlsson’s skating, whether he is surprised where the team is at with all the injuries & of course, Matt Cooke.
