Sens Lose 6-2

It only took 22 seconds to get this one started as Henrik Sedin took the puck from Daniel Alfredsson and slid it across to his twin brother to put the Canucks up by 1.

Not the kind of start Pascal Leclaire wanted.

Luckily, Peter Regin would bang on Roberto Luongo’s pads after Alex Kovalev took a shot on net and tie it up.  Here’s Luongo and Burrows comments on that play.

Things were looking up.

Play would go back and forth with quality scoring chances being had by both teams.  When Ryan Kesler outwaited Pascal Leclaire to put the Canucks up by 1, many thought we had seen the last of the scoring as the goalie’s seemed to be styming any offensive chance.

Then the third period happened.

2 goals in the first 1:11 of the 3rd by the Canucks pretty much sealed the deal.  Alex Burrows would score his first of the season out of a scramble in front and Kesler would add his 2nd of the game as the Canucks put the game out of reach.  The Canucks turned it up a notch in the 3rd and showed the Sens how to take control of a game when you have the lead.

Here’s Pascal Leclaire & Jason Spezza on tonight’s game….
