Sens Win 3-2 – Night of Milestones

Well, it wasn’t easy.

With 3 seconds left in the game, Ryan Smyth tipped a point shot that eluded Pascal Leclaire and went in.  Tie game, right?  Not according to Toronto.  After a lengthy review, it was determined that Smyth’s stick was “too high” and the Senators won for the first time in 4 games.

This game was full of Senators milestones.  Alex Kovalev scored his 1000th point on the power-play, breaking his stick in the process.  Jarkko Ruutu & Chris Neil (who would leave the game with an upper body injury) both played their 600th games, while Milan Michalek played his 400th.  Here’s Alex Kovalev & Jason Spezza on Kovalev’s milestone.
