Sabres vs Senators Pregame

Preskate came and went Tuesday morning.  Jason Spezza was once again on the ice in his powder blue, taking part in drills.  Mike Brodeur was called up to play the role of backup and Alex Kovalev reunited with linemates Ryan Shannon and Peter Regin on the 4th line.  Afterwards, Cory Clouston announced Brian Elliott as the starter and that Filip Kuba would sit out.   Clouston said that Kuba has not been assertive or physical enough in his past few games.

Of course, a lot of the talk today was about Bryan Murray & Eugene Melynk’s comments on Daniel Alfredsson.  Both men stated during radio interviews yesterday that Alfredsson was an “untouchable” and that he would retire an Ottawa Senator.  When asked about his future with the team and to assess his season and the team’s, here’s what Daniel Alfredsson had to say.
