Sens Practice Feb 3

Practice was held at SBP this morning at 11am.  Matt Carkner was the only Senator not to participate.  We would later learn that Matt Carkner has a lower body injury and it was the reason he missed last night’s game. 

Also, Jason Spezza finally broke out of the powder blue and donned the regular white Senators practice jersey.  He skated on a line with Nick Foligno and Daniel Alfredsson.  Due to Spezza not being a 100 percent in terms of faceoffs, having him play with a natural centre such as Foligno will be a good backup.  Clouston would confirm that Spezza will return on Saturday night vs the Islanders.

Finally, the call-in and sports talk shows were ablaze with outrage over Cory Clouston’s decision to pull Robin Lehner last evening.

 Here’s Cory Clouston on whether playing the 19 year old is the best thing for the organization and both Clouston and Lehner on the popularity of the move.
