Sens Practice Feb 14

Sens practice was bright and early at 10:30 am this morning at SBP.  Both Bobby Butler and Robin Lehner were recalled and participated.  Matt Carkner was on the ice as well, skating on the “Green Slime” line with Ryan Shannon and Zack Smith.  Clouston would later say that Carkner’s status  is “questionable” and to expect another callup for tomorrow night’s game.  During practice, Sergei Gonchar took a puck in a bad spot and left early, but should be fine.

Clouston updated Pascal Leclaire’s injury by saying there was no new timetable, but some progression has been made.  When asked if Robin Lehner would continue to be brought up and sent down, he said “we don’t have another goalie under contract.  We have no choice.”  He also mentioned that he felt that Robin shouldn’t go too long between games.

Meanwhile, the Senators returned home for the first time without Mike Fisher.  Here are comments from Clouston, Spezza & Kelly on dealing with his trade and how they can fill the void.
