Sens Practice Feb 24

An eventful day at Scotiabank Place.  It all started with Andre Benoit & Jim O’Brien being sent down to Binghamton.  Defenceman Chris Campoli & Erik Karlsson, along with Jesse Winchester, joined the team on the ice, while Chris Neil and Craig Anderson elected not to participate.  Afterwards, Cory Clouston gave updates on numerous players and their injuries…..here we go.

Craig Anderson – just a maintenance day.  Most likely to start vs the Sabres.

Sergei Gonchar – could be ready to play sometime next week.  Out for the weekend.

Daniel Alfredsson – No progress. Asked whether he thought Alfredsson was lost for the season, Clouston answered “I don’t know.”

Chris Neil – won’t travel to Buffalo.  May play on Saturday vs Flyers

Erik Karlsson – should be fine to play tomorrow

Jesse Winchester – Doubtful for tomorrow, hopeful for Saturday

Peter Regin – his status will be updated sometime next week

Here’s Clouston on whether good goaltending actually makes you look smarter and whether or not the team is playing better.
