Sens Practice Mar 16

The day started with the Sens sending Andre Benoit & Jim O’Brien back down to Binghamton.  Once practice started, the squad was down 2 more players as Craig Anderson and Zack Smith were absent.  It was revealed that Anderson was hurt during last night’s game, and while deemed “not that severe”, was the cause of the maintenance day.  Zack Smith was apparently another victim of a flu bug that has swept the team over the course of the last week.

Coach Clouston revealed that Matt Carkner is likely to miss the remainder of the season as he has 4 weeks to recover from his knee scoping.  Clouston also said there was no update on Daniel Alfredsson’s recovery.

Here’s Clouston on whether he thought that the explanation he received for the Cooke goal was backed up after watching it again.
