Lightning vs Sens PreGame

Cory Clouston announced that Curtis McElhinney would get the start tonight vs the Lightning.  He went on to say that Craig Anderson could start if needed, but since there is no rush to get him back, another day of rest would do him good.  Also, McElhinney’s performance against the Devils, as well as his earlier one vs the Lightning, warranted another start.

Coach was asked if there was an update on Daniel Alfredsson.  Here’s his response to it and why he feels its so important to Alfredsson that he returns before season’s end.

Meanwhile, Vincent Lecavalier will play his first game since being ejected for slashing the Habs P.K. Subban.   In his altercation with Subban, he was also on the receiving end of slash and was getting treatment at the conclusion of pre-skate this morning.  While he declined to meet the media, Lightning head coach Guy Boucher and the Senators’ Jason Spezza gave their opinions on the altercation.
