Sens Workout Apr 1; Da Costa Skates

The Senators held a team meeting and workout Friday afternoon at Scotiabank Place.  While that was going on, newcomer Stephane Da Costa took to the ice at Bell Sensplex with assistant coach Luke Richardson.  Da Costa sported No. 24 on his helmet and afterwards, spoke with the media in both official languages.  Da Costa said that he idolized Sergei Fedorov growing up and that he thought his family would be able to make it for tomorrow night’s game.

Here is Da Costa’s response when he was asked how he felt about debuting tomorrow night.

As a result of Da Costa needing a roster spot, Colin Greening was sent back down to Binghamton.  Greening was recalled on an emergency basis and therefore his recall was cancelled due to Da Costa’s addition to the roster.
