Sens Sign Silfverberg & Caporusso

The Ottawa Senators signed forwards Jakob Silfverberg & Louie Caporusso to entry-level contracts on Monday. 

Silfverberg was signed to a 3-year deal after helping Team Sweden earn a silver medal at the 2011 IIHF World Championship.  He spent the past 3 seasons with Brynas of the Swedish Elite League, setting professional career highs in goals, assists, points & games played this past year.  Silfverberg was a second round pick by the Senators in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, 39th overall.

Louie Caporusso signed a 2-year entry level contract after completing his final season with the Michigan Wolverines.  Caporusso scored 11 goals while adding 20 assists in 41 games this season.  Caporusso was drafted in the 3rd round, 90th overall by the Senators in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
