Ottawa Senators Training Camp Day 2

The first on-ice session of this year’s Ottawa Senators training camp happened early Saturday morning.  Team Boschman hit the practice ice at 9:00 am and worked out for new head coach Paul MacLean.  Later on, Team Kyte scrimmaged with Team Marsh, winning the game on a Milan Michalek breakway goal in overtime.  Matt Carkner did not participate in on-ice activites but is expected to tomorrow.  Jesse Winchester ran heavily into the boards during his practice session and did not return.

With all the new faces in camp, there is a ton of anticipation for the upcoming season.  One of the players creating a lot of excitement is Nikita Filatov due to the potential impact he could have on the offence.  Here is Filatov, coach Paul MacLean & Jason Spezza talking about the opportunity the young Russian has on this Ottawa Senator team.
