Ottawa Senators Training Camp Day 7

There were 2 scrimmages mixed into Day 7 of training camp on Thursday.  The first put Team Boschman, who practiced earlier in the morning, up against Team Kyte.  Kyte went on to win 5-1, with Stephane Da Costa showing off his playmaking ability with a couple of nice assists.  Team Kyte would then stay on the ice and take on Team Marsh in the second scrimmage.  They weren’t as lucky this time, falling to the much fresher Team Marsh 3-1.  During the game, Josh Godfrey got banged up, left the ice and did not return.

Meanwhile, Paul MacLean made some announcements for tomorrow’s game.  Jason Spezza & Daniel Alfredsson will play, while Mika Zibanejad & David Rundblad will get the night off.  Craig Anderson will start and play the entire game.

Also, Shane Prince was sent back to junior (Ottawa) this afternoon.  Here’s what Coach MacLean had to stay about the Senators’ 2011 2nd round pick.
