Pre-Season: Senators Win 2-1 Over Bruins

Check out the highlights

I’m not going to lie to you…I didn’t get to see much of this game.  What I did see and hear, sounded like the Craig Anderson show.  After checking out the box score, the numbers seemed to back this statement whole heartedly.  Craig Anderson made 39 saves and was named the number 1 star of the game, while Daniel Alfredsson and David Rundblad both scored their first goals of the pre-season in leading the Senators to victory.

The Senators end the pre-season with a 3-3-1 record, not too bad when 2 of your victories come over the defending Stanley Cup champions.  Fans should prepare themselves as this is probably how most of the Senators victories will look this season.  Low scoring affairs with the goaltender or defence being the stars of the game.

It should be interesting to see what decisions Coach Paul MacLean makes on Saturday.

Earlier today, the Senators re-assigned goaltender Mike McKenna to Binghamton.
