The Senators held practice at the Bell Sensplex Wednesday morning. Everyone was accounted for except for Peter Regin, Jesse Winchester & Chris Phillips. While it was known why the first two were missing, Phillip’s absence was a bit of a mystery. That is, until Coach MacLean revealed that Phillips suffered a mild concussion while defending the first New Jersey goal Monday night. Apparently, the Senators defenceman took an inadvertent elbow from Dainius Zubrus as he was reaching for the puck and began to show symptoms. He is considered day-to-day and is out for tomorrow night’s game against the Lightning.
