Senators Call Up Ben Bishop; Re-Assign Robin Lehner Mar 5

The Ottawa Senators recalled goaltender Ben Bishop from the Binghamton Senators Monday afternoon.  To make room for Bishop’s arrival, Robin Lehner was re-assigned to the AHL club.  This move comes as no surprise as both GM Bryan Murray & Coach MacLean said that Bishop would be making an appearance with the Senators sometime this week.

Bishop was 2-1-0 with the Baby Sens, sporting a 2.35 GAA in those 3 games.  Meanwhile, Lehner was 2-2-0 with the NHL Senators since being recalled for the second time this season.  He recorded his first NHL shutout last Tuesday, defeating the defending Stanley Cup champion Boston Bruins 1-0.

Bishop will wear jersey No. 30 for the Senators.
