Senators Practice Mar 28

An extremely long and hard working practice at Bell Sensplex Wednesday morning.  So long that they took a short break at the 45 minute mark in order to flood the ice.  Everyone was in attendance except for captain Daniel Alfredsson, who elected to take a maintenance day.  Here’s a couple of highlights from the 1 on 2 drill.

Finally, in other news, the Senators signed defenceman Chris Wideman to a 2-year entry level contract.  Wideman played 41 games with the CCHA’s Miami (Ohio) Redhawks this season, scoring 4 goals and adding 20 assists.  The 22 year old was originally drafted by the Senators in the 4th round of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
