Senators Practice Apr 15

The Senators held an optional skate at SBP this afternoon following their big 3-2 win over the Rangers Saturday evening.  Jim O’Brien, Matt Carkner & Matt Gilroy were the only ones to join the “healthy scratches” on the ice. 

In a kinda funny, but sorta painful incident, Matt Carkner gives Jim O’Brien a “friendly” slash after O’Brien hit Carkner with the puck during a drill.  Only problem is, the slash hurt.

Afterwards, Coach MacLean updated Daniel Alfredsson’s status by saying he “felt pretty good today” but continued that they would not consider any lineup changes until they talked to the captain tomorrow morning. 

UPDATE: Carl Hagelin has received a 3-game suspension for his hit on Alfredsson.  Not eligible to return until Game 6.
