Richardson Named Binghamton Head Coach

The Ottawa Senators announced Luke Richardson as the new head coach of their AHL affiliate, Binghamton Senators Wednesday afternoon.  Richardson signed a 2-year contract and will be joined by assistant coach Steve Stirling and video coach Matt Meachem.  The 43 year old has spent the past 3 seasons as an assistant coach for Ottawa and will take over for the departed Kurt Kleinendorst.

Richardson played in 1417 games during his 20 year NHL career, amassing 35 goals, 166 assists & 2055 penalty minutes.
