NHL Entry Draft Day 2

Day 2 of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft began early Saturday morning and proceeded at a quickened pace in comparison to Friday’s festivities.  When it was all said and done, the Ottawa Senators came away with 2 goaltenders, 2 defencemen & 2 centres to join first round pick Cody Ceci.  Here’s the list of what went down.

3rd round (76th overall) – G Chris Dreidger (Calgary Hitmen)

3rd round (82nd overall) – C Jarrod Maidens (Owen Sound Attack)

4th round (106th overall) – D Timothy Boyle (high school hockey in Massachusetts; expected to go to Union College)

5th round (136th overall) – C Robert Baillargeon (Indiana Ice (USHL))

6th round (166th overall) – G Francois Brassard (Quebec Remparts)

7th round (196th overall) – D Mikael Wikstrand (Mora IK)
