Day 5 of training camp marked the end of the Senators’ on-ice sessions at Scotiabank Place before Saturday’s opener.  After a lengthy practice, 23 players (13 forwards, 7 defencemen, 3 goalies) made their way to Winnipeg  to prepare for their season debut against the Jets.  As expected, Mike Hoffman was sent back to Binghamton and Cody Ceci was assigned to Owen Sound before leaving the city.

A couple of notable occurrences during today’s session.  Jim O’Brien took a hit from Kaspars Daugavins and sustained a cut to his face (stills above). Mark Borowiecki also left the ice with a cut.  Both were deemed minor “bo-bo’s” by Coach MacLean and neither is expected to miss any time.  Oh, and if you want to see what Marc Methot brings to the table, check this out…
