The Ottawa Senators took to the ice for practice at Scotiabank Place this afternoon.  As expected, Stephane Da Costa joined his fellow teammates and skated alongside Jim O’Brien & Erik Condra.  Guillaume Latendresse & Sergei Gonchar did not participate.  Here were the lines:

Zibanejad-Turris-Alfredsson

Michalek-Smith-Silfverberg

Greening-Regin-Neil

Condra-Da Costa-O’Brien (Daugavins)

D-pairings – Methot/Karlsson, Borowiecki/Phillips, Weircioch/Benoit

Anderson & Bishop

Afterwards, Coach MacLean revealed that Sergei Gonchar still has the flu, but is hopeful to practice and play tomorrow.  Guillaume Latendresse is over the flu, but is still suffering “whiplash” effects from the game against Montreal…he is out.  MacLean also announced Craig Anderson as his starter & expected Stephane Da Costa to play versus the Sabres, barring any unexpected circumstances.

Here is Paul MacLean when asked about yesterday’s call (same reaction), whether the type of call will reduce a player’s willingness to go to the net and if he is in favour of a “Coach’s Challenge.”
