Senators Practice Feb 11

The Senators took to the ice one hour earlier Monday morning at Scotiabank Place.  Everyone was accounted for except for Guillaume Latendresse , Peter Regin & Jason Spezza. Lines were as follows:

Michalek-Zibanejad-Alfredsson

Greening-Turris-Silfverberg

Neil-Smith-Condra

Daugavins-Da Costa-O’Brien

Coach MacLean was a bit more vocal than usual during this session, emphasizing the need to go to the net and to properly execute.  Here is a small sample from today’s practice.

Paul MacLean on whether he still has a voice after practice and what his message was.  Daniel Alfredsson & Mika Zibanejad confirm that the message was received.

Coach MacLean also said that Peter Regin is still out with an upper body injury and not available tomorrow.  Meanwhile, Guillaume Latendresse continues to have issues with his whiplash injury and is a “holding pattern.”  Finally, MacLean confirmed that Craig Anderson will be in goal against the Sabres Tuesday night.

With 7 goals in the last 5 games, Daniel Alfredsson is asked what he thinks the team’s offensive problems are and if anything has changed other than the loss of Jason Spezza.
