The Senators hit the ice for practice at Scotiabank Place Thursday afternoon. Sergei Gonchar & Daniel Alfredsson did not take part as both elected to take a maintenance day.  David Dziurzynski wore a grey sweater and took part in non-contact drills while Mike Lundin, who has passed his baseline test, took a regular turn throughout the session.

Injury/Roster updates: Craig Anderson skated today but did not try to do any goaltender exercises.  Jason Spezza continues to progress forward and is on-time with his rehab.  Mark Stone was sent down to Binghamton so that he could get the proper amount of minutes.

Here is Matt Kassian’s media scrum after today’s practice.  He speaks on his reaction to the trade, what he brings to the club, who he knows on the team and how he’s fit in.
