The Senators held practice at Scotiabank Place Wednesday afternoon and it wasn’t well attended.  Daniel Alfredsson, Sergei Gonchar, Chris Phillips, Guillaume Latendresse & Marc Methot did not participate.

Afterwards, Coach MacLean would not give a definitive status update on Marc Methot, saying he’s been wrong too many times already.  Instead, he mentioned they wouldn’t know anything until tomorrow morning, but there’s still a chance he could play against the Bruins.  If he can’t, Mike Lundin will step in as he is ready to return from his concussion.

Injury updates: Coach MacLean had no further updates on Craig Anderson, Jason Spezza or Milan Michalek.

The Senators also announced the signing of goaltender Andrew Hammond to a 2-year entry level contract on Wednesday.  Hammond posted a 10-15-3 record, 2.47 GAA & .917 save percentage with the Bowling Green Falcons of the CCHA this past season.  The 25 year old will report to the Binghamton Senators after signing an amateur tryout agreement.
