Senators Lose 4-2 to Sabres

With the Senators on a lengthy road trip, I too have been sent elsewhere and therefore was unable to watch tonight’s contest.

Undoubtedly this is an extremely disappointing result for a team looking to shake off 2 straight losses.  Instead, it added a third consecutive loss, this time to a team that was a seller at the trade deadline.

Both Senator goals were scored by defencemen, the first by Marc Methot & the second by Eric Gryba.  Gryba’s goal actually put the Senators up 1 at 1:41 of the third period but 3 straight goals by the Sabres erased that quickly.

Robin Lehner started in goal and made 26 saves in the loss.

Cory Conacher’s debut as a Senator went like this: +2, 1 shot, 1 blocked shot, 20 shifts & 13:57 TOI.
