Senators Win 3-1 Over Capitals

An absolutely huge 2 points for the Senators on Thursday night.

Coming into a game against the hottest team in the league and the league’s leading goal-scorer, the Ottawa Senators executed their most complete effort of the season in defeating the Capitals 3-1.

Ottawa outshot Washington 38-19 and dominated most of the contest.  Kyle Turris had 2 of the goals, while Cory Conacher was “Johnny on the spot” when Braden Holtby gave him a tape-to-tape pass with a wide open net.  Craig Anderson made 18 saves, including a huge one on an Eric Fehr breakaway late in the third.
