The Senators took to the ice at Scotiabank Place for practice Sunday morning and low and behold, guess who joined them.  That’s right, Jason Spezza.  After it was revealed Jason Spezza was skating with the Black Aces, it was just a matter of time before he skated with the big club.  Here’s what Spezza had to say about how he’s feeling, the progress he’s made and what he’s still working on.

As for practice, Milan Michalek was the only absentee amongst the forwards.  Coach MacLean would later say it was just for maintenance and that game days took precedence.  Here were the lines.

Meanwhile, due to their overtime win last night against the Islanders, the Pittsburgh Penguins will be the Senators next opponent.  Of course, when it comes to the Pens, talk automatically shifts to Matt Cooke and the cut of Erik Karlsson’s achilles tendon.  Here’s what Karlsson had to say when he was asked his thoughts on playing Cooke.
