Senators Practice Nov 8

Before practice began this afternoon at Canadian Tire Centre, the Senators announced that goaltender Nathan Lawson was being re-assigned to Binghamton of the AHL.  That, of course, means Craig Anderson is ready to go – instantly creating a goaltending controversy in the nation’s capital.  Should Ottawa go with the hot hand?  Or revert back to their No. 1 netminder?

Here were the lines:

Ryan-Turris-MacArthur

Zibanejad-Spezza-Greening

Michalek-Smith-Neil (wearing a visor after being hit in the face by errant pass – will likely wear it Saturday)

Kassian-Grant-Conacher

D-pairings – Karlsson/Cowen, Phillips/Gryba, Methot/Borowiecki, Wiercioch/Corvo

Anderson – Lehner

Afterwards, Robin Lehner told the media that he will be starting against Florida Saturday afternoon.  Anderson would go on to comment, “It’s one of those healthy competitions.”  Coach MacLean later confirmed that Lehner will indeed start vs the Panthers but that, “Craig is our No. 1 goalie and when he is ready to go he will play.”
