Senators Win 2-1 (SO) Over Predators

When you play the Nashville Predators, you expect to play a fast paced, defensive-minded, slightly boorish game.  That’s exactly what the Ottawa Senators got Saturday night.  And to their credit, they were remarkably patient, playing it safe in most situations and making sure not to make a mistake that would cost them the game.

Of course, there were some blips in the radar – most notably a penalty shot in the first period by Viktor Stalberg that Craig Anderson stoned with a big glove save and a 4 on 3 penalty kill in the overtime period.

With the win, the Senators passed a few teams in the Eastern Conference standings and have moved within 1 point of the final Wild Card spot.
