Senators Win 3-2 Over Blue Jackets

It looked as though disaster was about to strike.  After Stephane Da Costa scored his first 2 goals of the season, the Blue Jackets struck twice on the power-play to even the score at 2 with half a period to go.

But a Nathan Horton tripping call gave Ottawa a late opportunity they did not squander.  Jason Spezza’s second whack at a rebound made its way past Curtis McElhinney and gave the Senators a massive 3-2 win.

Ottawa climbs within 1 of a playoff spot in the jumbled mess that is the Eastern Conference.  They return home to face the Tampa Bay Lighting on Thursday.
